Information on the manufacturer, Swank
The company first began operations around 1897, when Samuel M. Stone and Maurice J. Baer founded the Attleboro Manufacturing Company to produce and sell jewelry for women. In 1908, Baer formed a new division, called Baer and Wilde, to oversee the production of men's jewelry. The name Swank notably appeared in 1927 on a print advertisement for a men's collar holder. In 1936, the company emerged as a successful leader in the industry and invited seven dealers to officially form a new corporation, Swank Products, Inc.

Information on the manufacturer, Anson
Since 1938, Anson has been designing and manufacturing premium silver tone and gold tone men's accessories in Providence, Rhode Island.

Anson Inc. of Providence, R.I. Founded in 1948 by Swedish immigrant Olaf Anson as a tool and die company, the firm began manufacturing men's jewelry after World War II. In 1967, a line of women's jewelry was added and Tiffany & Co. began selling Anson pieces in its stores soon after. Although Anson Inc. was acquired by C&J Jeweler in 1983, C&J continues to produce quality cos¡tume jewelry marked with the Anson logo.
